Long-Term PCB & PCBA Cooperation Signed Between Xingda Group and Smart Access Control Manufacturer
Introduction
Recently, Xingda Group have officially established a long-term and stable partnership for PCB & PCBA services with one
smart lock manufacturer. The two parties launched their first project cooperation in 2024. The customer specializes in smart
access control and biometric smart lock products and found Xingda Group through online research during the new product
development phase.
Prior to this cooperation, the customer's original circuit board supplier failed to meet the high reliability requirements for
smart lock products. Problems included unstable Bluetooth signals, large batch-to-batch variations in standby current,
electromagnetic interference caused by motor drive circuits, and a high rate of cold solder joints. After shipment, the products
suffered frequent after-sales failures such as occasional fingerprint recognition malfunctions and wireless disconnections, which
severely delayed the launch of new products. The customer was in urgent need of a one-stop manufacturing partner capable of
customized PCB fabrication, SMT assembly and finished product testing.
After onboarding, Xingda carried out preliminary DFM (Design for Manufacturability) reviews for the customer’s project. It
optimized RF layout and ground plane isolation schemes to reduce electromagnetic interference from motor circuits on wireless
and fingerprint modules. Impedance was strictly controlled for low-power circuits, while dedicated SMT processes were developed
for precision components such as BGAs and QFNs. Supporting SPI, AOI and full electrical testing were provided to deliver
integrated PCBA services covering component sourcing, SMT assembly and functional testing. Consistent yield rates and controllable
lead times thoroughly resolved the customer’s pain points of high mass-production failure rates and heavy after-sales pressure,
enabling the smooth mass production and launch of its smart lock products.
Smart access control hardware occupies a unique position in the electronics manufacturing sector. It must deliver the operating
characteristics of battery-powered IoT devices, offer durability comparable to mechanical locks, and pass system-level security
certification for access control systems. Biometric locks, RFID access controllers, video doorbells and electronic padlocks all
integrate fingerprint or RFID acquisition units, motor drivers, wireless communication circuits and power management onto a
circuit board often smaller than a matchbox. Moreover, the product must remain stable after thousands of opening and closing
cycles when installed on end users' doors.
We serve a wide range of OEM manufacturers of smart access control products. Our customers include funded hardware startups
as well as established leading brands from Ahmedabad, Pune, Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad and Chennai. We also serve overseas
clients from the United States, Europe and China’s Taiwan region, helping customers turn design prototypes into mass-producible
deliverables.
